which video editing program are you using ?

like of adobe favour intel, specially with effects and dont use much GPU, Resolve on the other hand loves GPU power

for a budget of £700...
the best intel cpu is the i5 9400f for £150...

2600 is slightly slower than 2600x
9400f is slightly slower than 8600k

so basically 2600 should be on par as the 9400f
and give better longevity because of 9400f doesn't have hyperthreading and 2600 does...
