Windows 10 on Core Duo & 8GB?

I have a 2009 mac mini that can't run a supported version of OSX but nicely runs Windows 7 64bit.

It's a Core 2 Duo P8800 @ 2.6GHz, 8GB ram and an onboard nVidia 9400 (512MB system ram).

Is Windows 10 and office going to struggle on it?

As long as you have an SSD it'll be pretty decent still for basic office and Web browsing tasks.

Windows 10 runs just as well as 7. I was running it on an early Core 2 Duo with 4GB quite happily.

Got 10 running on my C2D 4Gb laptop without an SSD absolutely fine, if anything I’d say it runs better than it did with 7.

No rocket ship but perfect usable imo.

He's only 9, mostly plays mineshaft, and I curate his other games (with an eye on system requirements). It's surprisingly capable, though I'll likely swap in an i5 before the year is out

probably fine with an nvida 9400 -
, but lack of gpu support for direct X variants, prevented me updating an old dell latitude using a Intel GM965 (google reminds me) to win7/10.

some of the older gpu's don't support hevc&h264 codecs, either, or have the security/trust modules for netflix/fhd, or, maybe, other subscription services.
