So I had put up over 20 items on ebay last week. 2 of them collection only where in the title it clearly stated the words "Glasgow - Collection". It stated in description collection only and offered no other postage option.
Surprise surprise some eastern european has won my set of logitech z5500 speakers who lives 330 miles away.
He now wants them posted. Bare in mind he won them for £40. Had I offered them for post I imagine they would have sold for at least double this.
I don't have a box which will support the 25kg weight of the subwoofer.
He is adamant I go to the supermarket get a box of them and ship it to him. I told him the box won't be adequate but he's adamant I do it.
He has now paid me £70 by bank transfer so £30 to cover postage and inconvenience. Bare in mind this was collection only for a reason. I didn't want the hassle of posting this due to weight and size.
Option 1 - Post using cheapest provider in a box with no protective packaging - there is no way bubble wrap will stop this 25kg sub from smashing all the speakers to pieces. Like he says. Likely cost me £20-£30 to post due to weight and size.
Option 2 - Refund him £30 - tell him to treat this as a lesson learnt and I pocket £40 for the inconvenience and to teach moron a valuable lesson to learn to read.
