Do these PC parts work well together?

Thanks for all of your replies. In the end, i went with the 2400G (simply because it's still powerful enough to suit my current needs, and i plan on upgrading to something better further down the line anyways)

I've ran into a bit of a problem however. I've built the PC to the best of my abilities, and it turns on fine, however nothing displays on my screen, and the PC keeps turning off and rebooting itself every 15 seconds or so. I did a bit of research and others are saying it could be due to needing a BIOS update. I might have misunderstood, but i thought it was only with the 3400G where the BIOS would cause a problem. Should the 2400G work fine with the Asrock B450M Mobo, or is this another issue i'm running into?

I won't lie, i'm not completely confident in how well i've connected everything together, so if you think it could help anyone pin point the problem for me, i'll show an image of the inside of the PC.

Take a few photos. One for each quarter of the motherboard.

Reseat the RAM. Try one stick. Try the other stick.

Confident that the PWR and RESET leads are in the right way?

List the full spec of parts you bought.

Sorry if my none existent cable management makes any of that harder to see. When I get more time, I might take the motherboard out of the case later and take better photos, as well as explain further how I went about the build.

Also, I’m yet to double check my power/reset cables and reseat the ram. But I’ll give that a try soon as well.

Thanks for the help.

from what you've described. the culprit is normally one of the core components; ie: psu, mobo, cpu. ram is also a possibility.
as mentioned, in the first instance, i'd try reseating all of these.
make sure you haven't over-tightened the cpu cooler.

I disassembled the entire build to reseat everything you mentioned, and I think it may be the ram. Here’s an image of how I’ve had it inserted:

It looks to be wonky, only fully inserted from one side. Is that normal? It feels as though I’d break something if I pushed any harder, but not sure if I’m just being too delicate.

hold it parallel to the board and press hard. should feel it positively fit into the slot.

It worked, thanks for helping me with my noob mistake lol. I’ll report back if I encounter anymore problems but hoping that’ll be the end of it. Thanks again.

no probs. better ask a silly question than to do something silly and potentially damage your shiny new computer :P
