Hi all
I'm looking to replace my now very old system (i7 930, GTX 770, 6GB RAM). This system was bought right here from Overclockers as a pre-built system around 2010/2011 - an Ultima Viper I think it was called, albeit it came originally with a GTX 480 rather than the 770. It's served me really well but I feel like it's finally time to upgrade and I want to buy pre-built from Overclockers once again - I know it's more expensive but I am simply not confident with building myself and I was so impressed with this PC and OC service.
My budget is probably around the £1,500 mark for a rig and possibly a nice Gsync monitor. Don't need other peripherals.
My main question is this: whilst I don't keep up a lot with technological advancements as it all moves so fast, I do want to ask if there is anything big hardware wise that I should probably wait for before upgrading, I know that there's something about Ryzen CPU's at the moment for instance? Are we expecting a new batch of Nvidia cards soon - stuff like that.
Thanks all!
