Police need to do more to address people parking like cretins, disabled or not so I'm fine with how they behaved. I've watched the video several times - and I'm satisfied the police provided reasonable grounds, provided the man with plenty of opportunities to just move his car to a more appropriate place, gave numerous, clear warnings about what will happen if he disobeys the officer's orders.
Seems to me the man in question had a grudge and wanted to cause a scene, whilst forgetting that it was he - not the police, who was in the wrong from the start.
This is not racism, or someone being picked on, it's someone behaving like a fool for the sake of causing a scene, as far as I can tell.

Exactly.
I've had some crap experiences with the police which make me far less willing to be cooperative or report stuff, however I'm still not stupid enough to be deliberately obstructive and obnoxious.

Him and his wife made the scene because they thought they were above the law, all he had to do was move the car. But yeah it's the "pigs" who are at fault, hardly surprising coming from you though really is it.

The VincentHanna part was the highlight of the thread for me, as much as I disagree with everything he says, at least I can respect him for defending his views.

Indeed, or the US or even pretty much any other European country let alone the far more authoritarian police forces found in the rest of the world. British police are about as gentle as you get when it comes to arrests.
Look at France for example, supposed to adhere to the same EU human rights as us and they're more than happy to casually spray mild chemical weapons on sitting protestors to clear the road. The police officers in the clip had a taser, the police in the US are more than happy to use tasers for compliance, it would have been a very simple solution for the police to have used here too but in the UK they're used for self defence not compliance AFAIK. Likewise anyone who has been on holiday to Spanish resorts in their 20s will have seen how drunken idiots are treated outside bars/clubs over there, much quicker and more likely to use force, much lower threshold to get a baton out and start swinging at people. Ditto to say the Italians, the Germans etc..
We've got one of the most lenient/patient police forces in the world, in the vast majority of places around the world they'd be hitting the guy with batons to comply if not using a taser on him where available. Yes someone comes into the thread moaning about "pigs"....

Honestly some of the replies in threads like this are terrifying. I try to come to terms with the mentality of some people on this forum but I've found that the only ways to find remote acceptance is to picture these people chilling out on a remote island with a ball named Wilson, when suddenly someone drops a PDA (ha, remember those?) with internet access so they can post on here. Another good one is to picture them in a little bottle floating in the ocean, like that song sung by the Police, ironically. Absolutely zero contact with the real world.

So didn’t even watch the various footage? It was clear the guy had been given so many opportunities to comply but refused. He was arrested and resisted. It couldn’t be more straight forward. All the events were entirely down to the man (and his wife’s) actions.
Time to wind your neck in, people might think you have an unreasonable bias, wholly unsubstantiated dislike if the police.

Yup, more or less. Obviously a lot are good people, some though do deserve the label.
They could have been reasonable too, but no they had to go full force as if he was a terrorist.

They was reasonable, they warned him multiple times to move the car, they ask multiple times for the ID, they then arrested him and he resisted so they had to use force,
his typical of the sorts that live in that area, they think they are special and above the law.

Noncompliance with the police is a very bad habit to get into as the police in other countries react rather differently as Diddums has already stated.
Local cops out here in rural France are pretty easy going, especially if you’re polite (even with my bad, but improving French). The National Police are a rather different matter and freely provide “contact counselling” sessions at the roadside for anyone who annoys them. Do not, under any circumstances, upset the French troops that patrol railway stations and airports. Especially the FFL paratroopers. I’ve personally witnessed them intervene when a male suspect was resisting arrest by a female police officer. You know how cooks tenderise a tough steak with a rolling pin? It was like that, but with rifle butts and the steak was a young bloke.
The Italian Carabinieri are much the same in my opinion. They do the same waving hands and shouting thing that regular Italian cops do, but their hands have batons or guns in them while they do it.
How were they unreasonable? They went to arrest him and instead of just putting his hand behind his back he started fighting them - what are they supposed to do there?
You seem incapable of justifying your opinion other than to call them pigs.
