WHICH RTX SUPER CARD? GIBBO RECOMMENDS ASUS EVO OC CARDS!!!

The ROG Strix versions are the fastest of any card also pretty much but we’re trying to get Asus to make the price more competitive as I feel if I can get Strix OC model down to around £549 it will sell like crazy as it offers practically 2080 levels of performance!

Out of interest how would that affect existing Strix orders would they be entitled to a refund? When do you think Asus would confirm this?

Yes they would because we’ve not purchased stock yet we’re still waiting on our cost to be finalised and we’re pushing hard for a deal using MSI Gaming X at £549 as the reason why Asus need to compete as they will normally tend to take note off MSI and Aorus stuff so I’m hoping they listen, problem is ASUS also know their stuff sells even at a premium and they are absolutely right but at same time if they do the price they will sell a load more.

********, if the price is reduced I’d take a Strix. I currently have an evo ordered what would be the best process to follow for a potential swap? Also is there a longer lead time with the Strix vs evo (i’m guessing the same as you’ve not purchased stock?)

Well i am out for anything Asus related too expensive, And if i pay a premium for a strix i want a better warranty or £50 off. They are the only 2070s vendor apparantly using the full 2080pcb and direct CU so i am unsure even if that is worth it over say the AMP?

Also what dates are on these? It must mean another month so worth noting for 2080 Super also it could be August easily?

I’m working on it fact is they have best card so they can charge what they like, pressure has being applied so can see if they do something.

Yes using 2080 boards gives them much better power limits and hence much better overclocks and hence reviews seeing over 2100MHz and a stock 1900MHz plus boost out the box.

^ I guess it also depends on which 2070S you're after.

It's obvious the Asus EVO is a popular one, so might be a good wait, whereas the other cards are likely to be in your hand sooner.

If the Strix OC model goes down to around £549 , i will order in a heart beat, [ this why i am waiting before order a new card ] :)

That's a joke price, nothing more than ASUS tax.

We have just had our costings, we were essentially selling close too cost, the costings we got are not supported, so if Asus decide to support us then it will come back down, maybe even cheaper, but until we get confirmation we have to go from our pricelist from Asus which we got today and well we had to put pricing up, same has also happened on a few other SUPER cards in 2060 and 2070 range.

Asus 2070 EVO OC we are holding price as we have an agreement of support from Asus, but after August 9th these shall also increase in price......

I wasn't having a go at OCUK pricing here, but for a card that's already £100 over-priced in general (more than that often) vs the 5700XT, to then have ASUS tax on top, another £60 on top, that's £60 more expensive than the next most expensive 2070 Super is nothing more than thr ASUS Tax, no-one can deny that.

Most expensive 5700XT (also ASUS quelle surprise!) is £419, that's £210 more...

There's no defending that.

Asus just supported 5700 XT, that is now £399!

I am sure they will come up trumps on Strix cards, but were not taking any chances, if we made huge margins on GPU we'd happily take risk, but we do not so we can't risk pre-selling loads to then when they land then make little to nothing or even a loss.

As Aorus is £549 with 4yr warranty and confirmed also to have a 2080 PCB and also a very high boost clock, I am sure Asus will want to compete as the Aorus card is also very good and the cooler is good too.
