4k video editing PC build - thoughts?

Hi All

Long story short, this build is for 4k long GOP video editing at likely 200mbs.

Do all these parts match up/have I got any obvious bottlenecks?

This is an all-rounder PC, a balance between CPU, GPU, memory and storage.
What is the performance bottleneck for 4k long GOP video editing?
Will 500GB be enough space for the OS, apps and your current projects?
You can get some good deals on a 1TB m.2 drive.
 
Seemed silly creating another thread, and I've stolen most of the above, but any improvements on the below?

Already have a 1TB SSD for the OS (and monitors, peripherals etc), and the 2x 6TBs are going to be in RAID1.

All our machines are Intel-based atm, one similar having an i7-7800 3.5Ghz and GTX 1080Ti 11264MB. I'd rather stick with Intel just so there's some swapping ability if needed but are the Ryzen's THAT much better for video/animation?

(Additional case for another use!)

That motherboard is pretty much garbage.
VRM is very flimsy design and runs easily hot and then it doesn't even have any heatsink!
This would be better and with actual heatsink for cheaper:

Also for Zen2 Ryzens you need to have BIOS updated to get PC to boot/POST.
 
Geomapping is PCIe 4.0 main selling point . thousands of 32mp plus images being pulled from storage and stage 1 and 2 being passed to and from storage is only program i can recommend pcie 4.0 SSD.

pcie 3.0 could shave off half a day to a full well in workloads but not the same for video editing .... yet ...

if your going B450 then MSI with is flash option- needing beefy VRM for 8 cores then B450 ITX Aorus or MSI boards.
gigabyte only vendor that can have board sent to and flashed for you
 
After doing a bit more reading, this may be a bit more money but more appropriate? Faster SSD and motherboard is more appropriate, no RAM speed overlcock required and compatible with the processor from the off.

Anyone got any experience with the case?
