Something super is coming...

Why does it annoy so many people?

It is good for consumers so not disagreeing. People are just agitated in general as the prices are still too steep on both brands, however the main beef is this nonesense of blaming one company because the other company are not directly competing in the same bracket.

Man im sick of Adidas not putting out something to rival the Nike air jordan's... its their fault that they cost so much!!

So Basically here is where I'm at with this Nvidia limited stock **** feast.

Either pre-order the evga geforce rtx 2070 super ftw3 ultra for £589.99 and overclock it for a up to an --> 8% <-- gain.
Or buy the older EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 FTW3 ULTRA for £699.95.

I'm struggling to find any reviews for the 2080 FTW3 though, as I'd like to know how much extra headroom it has. :(

It's a market move to ensure they continue to dominate over AMD, with a (slightly) better price/performance ratio than they had before.
Can't see this is anything but good for consumers, though only in a small way.

Define "slightly". Because 30% over the 2070S and 50% over the 2080S isn't "slightly" at 2560x1440, and with the 5700XT running at 1800mhz.... Not 2000-2200 range is capable.

I have got to laugh at the quality of the captions in the 2160p graph (1440p [Average Frame Rate]) doh, but I do agree with the results.

NVidia have given customers a tiny bit more silicon which results in a tiny bit more performance and called it "Super", I think that is pushing the marketing a bit.

The 2080 Super is what the 2080 should have been at launch time last year and priced at £400.

Turing is still way too expensive for what you get.

It's SUPER totally not the same Ti crap or xxxSP Edition etc that we have pulled dozen of times before :p

Yup, and that graph suggests that the 2060S is actually worse value than the 2060 :p

Basically AMD's fault though..

Yep they could challange but will not do it, They would have put two gpus on one chip and said here you go years ago. I think i would have bought one if they could make VSR mirror DSR so that is DLSS dead no one wants raytracing yet it would have been a good bet i might of been in for one. How much is 5700xt crossfire versus a 2080ti? In price perf they would have slaughtered it.

Really they could just use the SFR split frame rendering technique and bypass all the downsides of Crossfire and compete that way. So you can still have cake and eat it you do not need to chase the single monster gpu at all, You just need two in Crossfire with SFR. It is so obvious... :(

SFR was made for this company think about the potential uses in the console segment as well i never did understand why you could never link multiple consoles togeather well with SFR they could solve that as well.

AMD are as bad as NVidia for the pricing crap we have!

You would say that though.
Amd is just matching what Nvidia already started you not fooling anyone.

Nvidia started all this stupid pricing with the Titan line up.

The £800 pound GPU and last released I think was R295 X the Fury double card.

Amd even under cut nvidia with the new navi line up.

So all in all nvidia is the root of the problem here.

Not so dissimilar, IF Adidas and Nike were the only companies producing mainstream trainers.

AMD have priced like Nvidia, as they don't want you to buy their LAVI, they want you where they are, the consoles, thats the market they are in, and the rent-a-gaming one.
