Does Vodafone normally have good upload speeds?

I bought their £30 a month SIM with unlimited calls, texts and data and what I want to use it for are a business, but I'd like to use the data to upload to YouTube.

I went with this plan as it was advertised as the fastest possible speeds. Should I be expecting this to be a decent home broadband replacement?

No one can answer this for you. It's dependent on location and it could be great.... or not work at all.

IIRC, they made a big deal in some recent adverts about being able to cancel within 30 days if it's no good so that's something. :p

I'm sure they will be better than nothing. I checked their coverage checker with the postcode I'll be at, and it said excellent indoor and outdoor 4G performance. Plus I specifically went for the plan with the fastest speeds available.

Hard to answer as very location dependant, however, this is where your 14 day return window comes in.

Vodafone aren't well regarded but had really good signal with them personally.

As has been said it depends where you are. When they're good they're good and when bad then next door to useless. I'm rural and have good Voda indoor and outdoor 4G at my location and works well. Just done a speed test indoors, sheltered from mast by a huge stone farmhouse and just did a speed test - 12.8MBit/s down and 4MBit/s up. This is good enough for most things on a phone and much improves outdoors. Half the time EE times out indoors and not a lot faster than an asthmatic slug when it doesn't though improve outdoors to some extent. Vodafone has been quite a bit more reliable these days but luckily not had the pleasure of their support. Really depends on location..

Hope you purchased from Fonehouse on the £14 per month for unlimited uncapped 5g deal?

I’ve just got this sim and it’s very good, again, very area dependent but when out and about I get around 180mb speeds on Vodafone and max 60mb on Three.

Although three has slightly better coverage at my home but WiFi calling takes care of that.

Never used Vodafone before this so going to give them a go for a year, their roaming package is really good too covering 77 countries with max 25gb data when roaming.

I've never had problems with data speeds on Vodafone outside of what you'd expect for signal quality - where I used to live I had consistent 50-60MBit down and 25MBit up with a reasonable signal strength. Where I am now it is more like 18/3 but then I barely get 4G on VF here.
