Exactly. That is what I do. Sure I may fancy the latest and greatest, but it has to make sense. The 2000 series just does not for me. Just Nvidia milking.

Mine isn't in demand lol, on FB marketplace people wanting it for 250-300.

Cards normally sell better without water blocks on them and can fetch more money due to the wider appeal.
I always remove the block and sell it separately.

One thing is for certain - the 2080ti super will be along as soon as the unreleased AMD RX cards make an appearance.

Wishful thinking but I hope AMD serve Nvidia a nice slice of humble pie.

Yeah. Weird but Titans sell for less than 1080 Ti. Some people just like the name I suppose. The cool factor. Titan is no longer cool maybe?

But as someone mentioned it is also because they have aftermarket coolers on them. With Titan it is either a noisy cooler or water block.

tl:dr This game makes good use of Turing architecture, as such RTX cards are significantly faster than the GTX cards they replaced. E.g at 4k, the 2080ti is 60% ahead of the 1080ti and 2080 is 29% ahead of the 1080ti.

All testing was done with Variable Rate Shading turned off. Turning it on adds about 15% extra performance to all RTX cards and GTX and AMD cards don't have support for this feature.

Nah... 3070 is like 6-12 months away. That’s where it will be at.

I've got a 2080ti and a Zotac Amp Extreme 1080ti. I get about 20fps more on the 2080ti on Apex Legends.
I got the 2080ti from the rainforest at a bargain(?) £900.
My 1080ti was £650. (although wnen I RMA'd it about 3 months after buying it the price was just under £1200!)

As I see it. If you've got a 20 series card or a 1080ti, you should not be looking at any of these "Super" cards. None of the current Nvidia cards are worth the money. My 2080ti included.

It's not all bad news though.

The memory does overclock like a champ on the 2080 super's as it's actually being under clocked by default.

This year has been more snout that shout, Nvidia want to claw back the R&D on RTX. So next year they will just be shrinking the high end stuff. Maybe DLSS will go but knowing Nvidia they will double down.

There is not much wiggle room? Shrink to 7nm take away space used for dlss? Any special sauce like new ram? HBM dead? GDDR7? I know people will want HDMI 2.1 as well.

If it was called "RTX 2080 (2019 revision)" the outrage would be lessened. It's just the hyperbolic "Super" name that's wrong.
