Following this thread - https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/4k-video-editing-pc-build-thoughts.18860117/ - I can't get post on this build.

As far as I'm aware the Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 should be 3000 series ready, but yeah, no post at all.

Current build is no GPU, 1 stock of RAM (tried another from a different batch) and that's it. Reseated CPU, replugged all mobo cables, and each time it goes through the LED boot process, they all turn off which should mean everything's functioning but no post.

Any ideas, save me ordering another mobo and CPU and returning whichever does/doesn't work.

need GPU unless your running 3400G ?

ryzen *600-*900 has no iGPU on the CPU

I'm curious to see what kind of gpu you decide to go for if your primary task is 4k video editing. Do you use software that can take advantage of gpu rendering?

Have you confirmed graphics card has failed? i.e. did you make sure power was connected correctly, two cables if two sockets, etc. I don't believe the 1660 has two power sockets though :)

Also does the monitor react when you hit the PC power button? Meaning it notices when the graphics card initialises.
