While its been around for a while it has only just dawned on me that 90% of everything i seem to click on (even seemingly serious science/tech pages) are now using the word "could" at the start of the second paragraph pretty much as soon as i see that lovely turn of phrase i stop reading scream a quite frankly brilliant amounts of obscenity to website in general and if a particular bad article in the long run i find the authors name and hex them with the pox or some other ill, which will prevent them from writing more crap.

/rant over.

Thanks for reading, it could make your day better.

Toxic for me. Everything someone doesn't like is toxic. Toxic masculinity. Toxic right. Toxic politics. Toxic toxic avenger.

I don't know what OP is talking about.

Could it be that I've never noticed this phenomenon.
He's saying that research with vague or fairly mundane findings is often presented as using clickbait methods, eg "cure for aids could be ready next year!" and you read it and the incredible stretch of the truth becomes apparent.

Essentially OP hates clickbait (like any normal person) and how it's pervading even respectable sources.

I... erm...

Ok.

AND THEN THIS HAPPENED. Almost literally all of it is bot written (not sure why anyone would write it by hand), should really just stop reading it.

Youtube videos that start with some div saying "What's going on?" is my current hatred.

That reminds me: I look up some current affairs to watch some videos of what is actually happening (rather than news outlet). Only to be click-baited onto a video by The Young Turks (TYT) where they're just talking about the incident rather than showing a video. I don't mind their intent though as they seem to be progressive, it just that they seem to hijack a lot of the results on what I'm looking for and I wanted to see it in a video than discussion format.
