Do most Gpus have a protective film on them

Reason I ask is that in my excitement of installing my new card I did not remove a protective film from the card. I did not really notice one to be honest but have seen a number of reviews where the first thing happens is that the reviewer will rip the plastic film off the card.

My card is a zotec 2080 extreme

no card seemed new - box was sealed. Card had a cover over the connector that plugs into MB. Bought from overclcockers

Sometimes the protective film is easily missed as it's clear and tightly stuck onto the components.

Better check again then. I know the fans were not covered but did not thoroughly check back plate

I'd say about 75% of the GPUs I've bought have had them - none of them appeared to be previously used.

My Zotac 2080Ti didn’t and the box was definitely security sealed.

Looking at some unboxing videos of Zotac cards they don't seem to have a film on them
