I ended up with a https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8142946 Moto G6 whilst my OnePlus 7 pro is being fixed and have actually been fairly impressed !

Quick comparision makes the Moto G6 look better in pretty well every way..... although it is £20 more.

Seems decent enough for the price. Are there any specific features you would favour over others i.e. camera, screen resolution?

My kids have used 'budget' phones (wileyfox swift2 etc) and this feels a lot better, it's got 3GB of ram and 32GB storage so does OK, battery life is OK as well.

Likes: USB-C fast charge, camera is OK, feels nicely made with glass back and comes with a clear case. Decent screen size at 5.7". Not too much bloat and is upgraded to android 9 running security patch from June
Dislikes - 3GB ram can make is feel a bit sluggish

In short, I'd recommend it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll pass them on. The moto one is interesting ex motorola and they do another one for 180 quid which is web users recommended phone for under 200 .

The Motorola G7 Power is on Argus for £160. I've got one and the battery life is phenomenal, though it's a bit bigger and heavier than other phones, but not excessvely so.
