£70 "fine" fell through the door today -

GD must have covered this previously; what's the first move here, ignore or respond with a carefully considered grenade?

Google "Euro carparks location"

go there, rip your top off, shout "you want sum of this?!" and then chin everyone.

the last bit of of your just had me in stitches. i instantly pictured in my head a slapstick type image of people laying out cold all over the carpark and the OP 'One Punch Mickeying' everybody.... proper cheered me up.

tbh when i got one i was late i knew the rules (up in yorkshire 2 hours max) so i just paid ,maybe if it had been an inch on a white marker or similar i would have been bothered

edit may not have been same company but was a retail park in dewsbury

Pepipoo is the usual go to site.

What are they claiming that you did? Overstayed? Didn't pay? I guess it depends on the reason of the fine to determine next course of action.

automated number plate thingy though

Yes, but this is Scotland and things are different here. My understanding is that number plates are not enough.

The accusation is having overstayed.

Everyone always says don’t ignore them, but I’ve ignored at least 6 now and not one has ever gone to court, they’ve just thrown the towel in.

Sounds like you're advertising that you've abused the use of a privately owned car park at least 6 times.

If its too expensive for them to take you to court for a small sum it doesn't justify you acting dishonestly.

Don't care really mate. They make a living out of ripping people off, so I don't have any sympathy for them.

Anyway, I'm talking like 6 times in around 15 years and hundreds and hundreds of car park visits.
