I wouldn't call myself a beacon of health. I smoke every day, barely do more than 5000 steps a day but I try to play Badminton 2-3 times a week. 29, 5'11 and just a shade under 14 stone
I don't think a resting HR above 80 is normal. Although i suppose the main demographic on these forums are males 20-40 who probably should be aiming around 60ish.
60-100 is normal range of resting heart rates, which is why anything below 60 is classed bradycardia and anything above 100 is tachycardia. Like I said earlier, if its a concern, raise it with your gp who will probably do a few tests with you. At the range that you've listed, and if your asymptomatic i wouldn't be concerned.
About 53/4 when sitting, i'm currently lying on the sofa and it's 49. Surprised it hasn't started to climb but i guess i'm still young and living off left over fitness from my more active days.
My fitbit says resting is 49bpm. But then again it also thinks I regularly hit 160 on a leisurely stroll at lunchtime but somehow only average 120 when busting my balls on the bike...
Usually around 50bpm, sleeping it can drop to low 40's. maxes out around 185-190bpm when on a hard climb on the bike.
49 years old (soon to be 50) & cycle most days.
Just measured mine on my phone 51 resting. Spend a lot of time sitting but also according to my fitness tracker do around 7-8km a day - do more than 10K steps most days though my average this month so far is 9678. 5 foot 11 and 11 stone.
