Hi having trouble with a new build. Tested ram and it's fine, got machine down to mobo CPU and ram to test boot but it won't POST, just goes to Orange mother board lights.

Mobo and cpu,a psu and ram are new (bought today).

The box was marked 3000 series ready which means the BIOS should be already flashed for the 3600 if I understand right.

Unfortunatly help on gigabyte forums is useless. Wondered if anyone else has had similar issues with this motherboard.

I could got for hunting out a cheap older gen am4 CPU but would rather not go an buy one unless necessary (I suspect AMD loan programme will take days if not weeks especially give it's markes as ready).

Have also left it running for 10 mins to see if it's a slow bios detect but no joy.

Well bugger me. After about 1/2 hr I decided to put the GPU back in and give it a one last boot. After about 30 seconds it reported that it bios reset then started to behave (first time anything. Displayed/

Just after I bought a cheap am4 CPU off eBay. Guess I'll be selling that on once it turns up :)

i'm guessing you didn't plug in your gpu the first time round?
if so then that's the problem. ;)

amd ryzen (except the ones with the -g suffixes) do not have integrated graphics.
so probably all along it was working, just not displaying an output...

Hi. Yes tried GPU first few times and had no luck. Perhaps I just didn't wait long enough for the bios to probe the memory/gpu and CPU set up :)

As it has basic on bordographics I decided to try without too (I guess I assumed it had a basic video controller on the.mobo :) )
