Beggers in Leeds

Eh? You claimed the opposite in a previous post:

given the apparent contradiction I did a quick search too, the figures I found were closer to the second post of yours quoted above - the below (from 2016) says almost 60% are non-British

https://www.indy100.com/article/the...-in-london-are-foreign-nationals--WkxGkDhwuJW

That seems to tie in with what I commented on before, re: Romanians, they're very much overrepresented in the figures for rough sleepers:

I think you should read what i wrote again - "In London only 63% of people are British" and "in the 2011 Census it was reported that 37% of people living in london were not british"

and you're either dishonest and/ or stupid....

Circa 37% of Londoners are not EU citizens or non UK/EU citizens there are simply not UK born …… so you are comparing apples to oranges as the rough sleeper stats are not made up by country or birth but by nationality

But this is the sort of oversight/lie to be expected from you

So non UK nationals account for 51% of London's rough sleepers.....

A non UK born UK national would be counted in the 49%
Meh, it's an oversight, you've barely been able to spell throughout this discussion so i wouldn't hold yourself in too high regard. Also, that guardian link you posted:

proving me right again..

I read what you wrote - what you've repeated there isn't the contradiction I've questioned in my post:

I'll trim down and highlight the relevant parts:

They barely make a quarter of the total figures. In London only 63% of people are British, according to the 2011 census. That percentage seems strangely familiar.. ahh yes, that was the percentage of homeless brits in the 2018 homelessness study.

Which contradicts:

63% of those sleeping rough in london aren't British

Is that clearer? On one hand you've stated that only 63% of people in London are British and that was the percentage of homeless brits (I presume you mean rough sleepers and in London?) on the other you've stated that 63% of those sleeping rough in London aren't British..

ahhh fair enough, it's just a typo.

Which one?

The figures I referred to in my post above support that there are a majority of non-Brits sleeping rough in London.
sure, but we've been working off a different set of figures this whole time - which states that 63% of rough sleepers are British. Now what do you want me to do with contrasting figures?

I was just asking you to clarify what you were asserting and based on what? You've now clarified that you're saying 63% of rough sleepers in London are British - I might have missed it but the posts I quoted didn't have a source for this? You mention a year - 2018 but do you have a link?

You must go down a storm at parties when you start telling people not born in the UK that they aren't British even if they have a UK passport! Do you do Bernard Manning jobs about horses and stables?

The 'not born in the UK' figure includes the children of many of British/NI service personnel born abroad and our current Prime Minister!

was posted earlier, it's UK figures btw.

i've already said it was an oversight. Have you learned to spell yet? I've never done a Bernard Manning job in my life.

OK the UK is a bit different, you claimed London earlier in addition to the confusing typo. That doesn't then contradict what I posted about London where the majority of rough sleepers are indeed non-British and a disproportionate number are Romanian.

Also note from the figures you cite there, the percentage of non-UK nationals sleeping rough nationally is disproportionate too.

64% were UK nationals, compared to 71% in 2017. 22% were EU nationals from outside the UK, compared to 16% in 2017. 3% were non-EU nationals, compared to 4% in 2017.

You are the one who brought up insults... and suggesting the other is immoral when you were the first to both question another's morality and insult the other in our exchange.

and all this just because my spellings a bit hit and miss when I am on the phone and you seemingly haven't got a clue about the differences between nationality, ethnicity and place of birth?

You do have blood on your hands. How is that an insult?

Yep, ya got me. I'm devastated by this whole exchange lol.

Why don’t you two just both take some time away from the computer.
