Hey guys I just got a standard gas lift to replace my current original one. But its different! the button is much higher. The chair can't adjust for it so permanently sinks. Am i missing some special gas lift secrets?

Just sorted it! didn't know you could just hacksaw down the plastic button. Feeling like a DYI god right now. Works perfectly. And first time in months my chair isn't slowly sinking.
