Built the pc today with this board. The Bios states the version is 0807 X64 07/08/2019.

I cannot see this on the Asus support. Am I in a wrong place as I am worried about flashing a wrong latest bios.

Also, can I back up the bios just in case there is an issue?

I actually downloaded all of these drivers yesterday as I'm planning on buying this board. You are correct there is no 0807 there. I'm looking here https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Strix-X570-E-Gaming/HelpDesk_Download/

It may have been withdrawn for some reason and it happens from time to time. Just flash to 1201 which has the latest AGESA update. Do not flash using windows based software, instead download the bios and put it on a USB stick. Either use the USB Bios Flashback that your board has or use the flashing tool in the bios. Your manual should have the instructions to perform USB Flashback. For the bios tool, go into the bios and under the tools tab you will find Ez-Flash. Fire it up and point it to the USB stick with the new bios and confirm that you want to flash. Do not switch the pc off. Wait until it finishes and it will either reboot or prompt you to reboot. Job done.

***Be aware that flashing the bios will reset settings to default so any changes you want to keep write them down before flashing.***

Finally picked up the courage to update the bios:( All went well and got a message that the bios was updated. For some reason the PC, on reboot, got stuck for ages. Rebooted few times - unplugged the mains, video cable etc. - no luck in the boot, blank screen. Tried to put Windows 10 USB stick in and it booted with a message to reinstall Windows 10!!!

Fortunately had backed up the C drive with Acronis before the bios update!

Reinstalled Win 10 and then recovered the drive with Acronis. All ok now but what a pain!

BTW the Bios version in bios is the latest now.
