Hey all!

Friend is a after a small and portable PC for music recording/editing and light gaming.

Would be good if he could play some of the more popular AAA titles at reasonable settings @ 1080p.

Small, quiet and cool is the mission objective too as it will be in a small bedroom.

PC only, no monitor, KB + mouse etc :)

Cheers guys!

what Programs are they using for music editing ? rule of norm is they are still based on single fastest core but tracks can be used on individual threads.

are they any plug ins for sound equipment/ amps or will they be using on board audio to do the job? if so Aorus boards have the edge

@tamzzy has Aorus ITX in a Console style case, looks damn sweet

Been told that he’ll be using Reaper DAW.

More of a hobbyist that professional use I believe if that helps.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £756.11 (includes shipping: £12.30)

Gigabyte B360 ITX is about £90-100 . Also Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe M. 2 is £109 and double the speed of that SSD M.2 for same price

If aorus baord doesn't have latest BIOS, would have to ask Gigabyte / @GIGA-Man about them getting it flashed for you

GIgabyte has UK RMA on mobo's- only vendor to

My only worry with the Ryzen build is heat, everyone said the stock cooler is great but using that with my 2700X turned my PC into a radiator with temps of 90+ when gaming.

Worth getting a small AIO or low profile aftermarket air cooler?

7nm is the manufacturing node on Ryzen 3600- ryzen 1***/2*** is 14/12nm - so in theory they produce less heat and consume less energy. Intel build, I'd advise a better low profile cooler anyways ontop

Ah ok, cool :)

Can you recommend a low profile air cooler to stick on top if the heat does become an issue?

And to save making another thread, would that Sabrent Rocket Nvme drive be comparable with my Gigabyte Aurus gaming 5 x370?
