Makes sense - latest intel x299x refresh boards rocking 1000amps across Vcore to 18 handle 4.8+ghz across all cores.
Current x399 Aorus Xtreme is 10x IR3578 50 amp units = 500amps, with X399 Meg being 16 x TDA21472 70amps = 1120amps , Asus Extreme alpha is 16x 60 amps = 960 amps
x570 Aorus Xtreme features 14 x 70amps without any Doublers like the x399 boards above for 980amps to handle 16 cores pushed to 4.4ghz ...
With MSI hinting at 90amp units with x299x boards with doublers, have a feeling we'll be seeing changes to handle 70amps as standard hopefully with 16 phase controllers to handle 46-64 cores clocked high!
