On the off chance any of you work in a warehouse can you recommend a dependable glove for cutting open and handling dry stored cardboard boxes of various size around 300mm x 200mm up to 700mm x 400mm and weighing up to 15kg /20kg.

In an 8 hour shift we can cut open and locate 400/500 boxes so the gloves and grip need to be pretty hard wearing but supple enough to not hinder manual handling and cutting.

We are supplied gloves to but to be honest they last about a week at a time and are worn out :(

Example pair from work, https://www.warriorprotects.com/warrior-anticut-glove-0111wc-c5.html

Work should be supplying you with the correct PPE for the job - unless you're contracting?

If they’re supplying inferior gloves that don’t last then they need to supply you with more each time they’re no longer usable

Look at Mechanix gloves. They can be picked up from the rainforest and they come in a multitude of forms to suit the work/use, will last forever.

HASWA section 9 states:

"No employer shall levy or permit to be levied on any employee of his any charge in respect of anything done or provided in pursuance of any specific requirement of the relevant statutory provisions."

Essentially this means they must provide you with relevant PPE for any task it is deemed necessary, regardless of how many of those items you go through.

They might provide plenty of gloves but it doesn't help much if the gloves are rubbish and slow you down.

These are supplied by my employer as well as gloves similar to the ones linked in the OP.

Although I don't wear them the should be up to the task of handling cardboard.

Good grip and only a little thicker then aforementioned in OP.

Also have a green version of the bear grip, no idea what the difference is though?

Thanks for the replies ;)

Work do supply gloves endlessly but they are pretty rubbish :( The grip wears out pretty fast so I am on the lookout for something that I can buy myself and even recommend that work buy them and it saves messing about wasting inferior ones.

The main issue is grip, The grip coating wears through the finger tips so fast that boxes slip out of your hands after about a week of use.

Check out the ones I linked  As I said my employer supplies both types and the Bears have far superior grip.
