Nvidia's bringing HDMI 2.1 VRR support to its RTX 20 and 16 GPUs NOT 10 Series

What HDMI controller does the 2080ti use? Need to see the manufacturer spec sheet please link since you already know the answer

What are you talking about? I never said anything about the HDMI controller the 2080TI used. I was just saying to R3X that there is no magic firmware out there. That the Firmware is only making full use of the hardware that's already there and if the hardware isn't there, a firmware won't turn an older HDMI port into a HDMI 2.1 port.

The HDMI ports on Pascal cards, for example, don't seem to have the needed hardware to support VRR. If that is the case then no firmware upgrade will magically it work.

nvidia has released firmware that upgrades cards to a newer HDMI version before. It depends if the controller supports higher bandwidth or not - that's why I asked about it
