RX5700 XT Gaming OC review - surprising temps

Gigabyte get praise because the cards get close enough to a binned and lovingly over-engineered Strix OC card without the price tag.

Queue next thread: why are strix oc cards so expensive?

technically they aren't- if you have trade and pick high end stuff , though this is more for nvidia . just checked AMD cards and at distribution they have a high price tag .

ROG were able to set a high price tag due to their branding power, but now thats been chipped away . Believe Gigabyte aren't even going to bother with Aorus RX5700 card as it would bump up price and Gaming OC does the job well, should be one for High Tier GPU though

got this on my wishlist but gonna see what happens come black friday first. don't like the fact my reference 64's warranty is up next month so looking to get one of these.

think gigabyte was first to do 3 yr warranty with RX custom cards over 2 yr reference , seems others have now moved to 3 years but Gigabtes UK RMA hard to match - specially in current climate

Aorus would have done well, specially if it could have offered 4 yrs warranty, but price tag would have been silly at this entry point , since like asus and msi, they aren't solely AMD so don't get as good a deal with AMD- unless this has changed from Vega and before ...

2 years is just miserly on a gpu. yeah the uk rma is basically why am swinging towards gigabyte for most things now (i own the x570 elite mobo) and the extra year certainly helps with making my decision easier, the card is decent enough too going by reviews.

Seeing threads like this makes me consider making the switch to AMD. The 5700xt cards are fantastic but I'm tied to nvidia until I've got cash to change my monitor :(

I just upgraded to one of these and I have to say it is a brilliant card, it's just so quiet even while gaming, it was not my first choice but I am so glad I bought it at £409.99 as it's now gone up.
