Hi guys,

So I'm looking to get a new PC to replace my 15 year old Zoostorm computer. As it doesnt run any of the games I like to play like Sims 4/Football Manager etc.

Please can you advise whether the following would run the games plus maybe some twitch streaming etc please and if £460 is a good price:

Fresh install Windows 10 Pro
Processor/CPU: I7 3930K
Graphics Card/GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 1060 6GB
Motherboard/MOBO: ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME
Memory/RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LP 16GB (4X4) 1600 MHZ
Power Supply/PSU: CORSAIR HX 1050
Cooler: CORSAIR 120MM WATER COOLER
SSD: LEXAR 120GB
Hard drive/HHD: SEAGATE 1TB
Case: GAMEMAX SIRIUS

TIA

The guy also has this one for sale, which one doe you think would be better please?

Fresh install Windows 10 Pro
Processor/CPU: I7 4770K
Graphics Card/GPU: MSI GTX 980
Motherboard/MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3
Memory/RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE 16GB 4X4 1600MHZ
Power Supply/PSU: CORSAIR TX750M
Cooler: CORSAIR 240MM WATER COOLER
SSD: KINGSTON HYPERX 120GB
Hard drive/HHD: 1TB

The 4770k is a good cpu and can overclock, the 980 is an older card than the 1060 but both are fairly decent cards. How much is the 2nd spec? I wonder if he would swap the cards over so you have the newer 10 series, the 980 could prob overclock past a 1060 though I guess.

It's the same price for both setups, £460 each

Well I would defo go for the 4770k and get it overclocked. See what the other guys think many have more experience on here than me. I think asking him to swap the cards over may be a good move but wait for some of the other guys to post replies mate. You may get a decent enough new AMD cpu build at that pricepoint, pretty good chance you know, wait for them to spec new tech because new tech is always best choice if possible.

Processor/CPU: I7 3930K
...
Motherboard/MOBO: ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME

I would be wary about the age of this. Both systems, really. Capacitors wear out and AIO coolers lose fluid; my old i7-3xxx system started misbehaving last year.
