Quick question how hot does a tdi exhaust get?

Basically the sleeve joiner on my exhaust has failed causing the pipes to have excessive movement which means it’s knocking on a support brace. Not the end of the world as it still drives ok and I’ll have a new sleeve to go on it but not til next weekend.

Ive had a idea to temporarily bodge it using an old 2 post lift pad as a wedge/support between the exhaust pipe and the support brace. I was briefly ecstatic at my ingenious bodge until it quickly dawned on me that this may not be the greatest idea in the world.

What do you think?

Hot. Hotter than petrols usually, as the combustion chamber is hotter.

I thought EGT was lower on diesels. Based on research when looking up what turbo to use, and that one from a diesel may not be suitable as it's expecting lower temperature
