I have unlimited tethering on my phone and I have decent signal, most speedtests show roughly 44Mbps. My area can get fttc so roughly i could get up to 63mbps average, but since i am paying for my phone anyway i decided to use that for now.

Currently I am using my phone for all home devices to connect to for their internet needs.

Is it possible to use one of my old BT routers ( i think i have a Home hub 5 or so gathering dust) to extend the signal in the whole house?

apostolis_kt - check your email, I’ve sent you a message :)

I also messaged your PSN too.

I could not send you a PM/Conversation message, do you have it disabled?

Any ideas on my question in the original post would be much appreciated. So far the whole house uses my phone but I have issues with the sky box which connects but the downloads are horribly slow.

SkyHD+ box 1.4GB show to download takes more than 1 hours. Same show downloaded on the laptop sky app is downloaded in minutes and instantly streamable. So was trying to see if i use a wifi extender if it would do any difference and have quite a few routers from bt and plusnet lying around
