Hi
I brought a new exhaust just over a year ago for a Clio Mk3 as I thought it looked pretty good.

I didnt think it would be as loud as it is. It's really getting on my nerves now. If I'd have known it was going to be as loud as it is I probably wouldn't have brought it, I only wanted it just to make the car look a little better.

Is there any way that I can make it less noisy or would I need to fit the old exhaust back ?

This is the exhaust I brought

Sportex Renault Clio MK3 performance exhaust back box 1.2i 2005-2013 T3 Fits: Clio [MK III]

When I had a loud exhaust on my CRX It came with a baffle you could fit/remove. Baffle in it was fine, out it was mental. :p

Otherwise, different back box i guess.

If your driving a 1.2 Clio with a loud "performance" exhaust, everyone is pointing and laughing at you, put a standard exhaust back on for christ sake. Leave the performance exhaust for the performance cars.

Add a turbocharger, it’ll quieten it down nicely. :)
Have to agree with noise becoming tiresome after a while, very nearly bought an e38 740i a couple of years back which had a Supersprint exhaust with quad pipes, it sounded wonderful initially but the novelty wore off before the test drive was over!

When I was younger I’d probably have loved the sound.

Yeah I regret doing it now. I only wanted it as it looked good. Didnt know it would be as loud as it is Cant quite afford anything with a bit more power yet so I thought I would make the car look a bit better lol
Will probably look at getting an original exhaust put back on
