ASRock TRX40 Creator only has 8 phase power for VRM?

I expected the Creator to be ASRock's top-end board, but I'm not so sure. It has some nice extra features over the Taichi, but have these been achieved by compromising the quality in general?

Hoping to hear some opinions on this, too.

All of the new TRX40 boards seem to have something that doesn't quite fit what I need--looking at you Gigabyte and those XL-ATX form factors--but the ASRock TRX40 Creator looks like the best for me. Just concerned about the choices/build decisions they made with it.

AFAIK, the phase power count isn't everything when it comes to stability/cooling, right? And if that's the case, are there other features/build designs on the Creator that make it as stable for high-end, demanding work as the Taichi? I don't care about the bling; just was a board that is cool, stable, and reliable.

Pro Wifi from Aorus is standard ATX and 12+2 phase set up. TRUE 13 phases

Form Factor
  1. ATX Form Factor; 30.5cm x 24.4cm

840 Amps across the Vcore

ASRock 8 phases are 90amps so 8x90amps = 720Amps

Pro wins out on the Phase design count . VRM will be warmer due to them not using a huge noisy fan on it . If you've got a good case then airflow should be plenty over the heatsink. Aorus Xtreme matched ASUS and MSI flagships that have either dual fans on the VRMs or attached to chipset fan via heatpipe.

Then you've got Gigabytes superior UK RMA and rep @GIGA-Man . Think asrock still asking for £20 in the box for tax when you ship it off.. that thread made me laugh

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £901.68 (includes shipping: £11.70)
