Why would the police shoot him if he’s pinned down? Doesn’t sound like our police at all.

The police did - I've just watched the video. What looks like members of the public were on top of a guy, police then arrive, a few move away including one guy carrying the knife away, then the last guy is hauled off the nutter then police shoot him from close range. It happened.
 
Loads of people had him pinned then people step away the guy appears to get up and shot by Police from video I have seen on Twitter

sort of... at least they didn't mess around with a taser - just put two rounds into him from a rifle/carbine

there is a video on twitter, obvs won't link to it here, but the terrorist/gangster/promising young rapper type... is scuffling with someone else on the floor... once they manage to separate the person he's scuffling with/drag him away they just put two bullets into him... he's very much dead... which in this case seems to be a good result.

They wouldn't so best not to read too much BS till the official story it out which will not be now due to confusion and people making up said BS.

Personally I could not care less as he stabbed X people so deserved it.

Yes. But he wasn't pinned down at the time, which what Clov!s said\asked.

Sky are reporting at least one dead not including the attacker. I hope that’s not the case :(.

Perhaps you think he should have been cautioned and asked to report to a police station with his documents at his convenience? Sheesh, the coppers can't win.... A few people there needing commendations IMO.
