I'm thinking of getting a new build pc from here in the black friday sales. The only difference appears to be the processor... So my question is ryzen 7 2700x or the i7 9700kf and £280 more. What should i go for.?

The 3700 adds another 32 quid. Is it just not worth the extra for the intel then? This is what i was looking at https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...7-2700x-geforce-rtx-2070-super-fs-1dw-og.html

Consider this, they are charging £32 for an upgrade, that if you bough on it own the difference would be £120, the 2700X is £169, the 3700 is £289, you also get a free Game with the 3700X.

Alternatively you can put a full parts list together on here, and ask them to build if you for a fee, since £1200 will get you a much better balanced system than what they are offering as a bundle.

When they build systems like that they are trying to maximise profit margins, not performance or quality (unfortunately).

Righto....I really don't have a clue...Any recommendations then for similar budget for them to build
?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,118.49 (includes shipping: £12.60)

Similar, but not quite the same. Bigger faster SSD 1TB but no additional hard drive, better motherboard, better RAM, better PSU, same case.

Cost would be more than £1199 with the build I think though, you'd have to get them to quote it for you.

Cheers thanks for the advice. I will give them a ring tomorrow.

That sounds like a good future proof spec. My current build is 4 years old and showing its age. Can't play assetto corsa competizione which is kinda ******* me off lol.
