Queen not OK rumour/hoax/breaking news?

Like WhatsApp seems to think she's not OK... as in "Operation London Bridge" level of not OK...

Anyone else seen the message(s)? Like I guess with something like this they probably would try to keep it secret until the morning etc.. yet with modern comms/social media etc.. there wouldn't be much chance of keeping it quite so quite plausible you'd get the news breaking first on twitter WhatsApp....

Also quite plausible that someone could easily make up a hoax rumour and have it spread rather easily on twitter/WhatsApp.

Nope, probably not right away thus they have the whole Operation London Bridge thing where the PM can be informed along with the police, army units etc..

The rumour here is (supposedly) that that has happened and someone from a Guards regiment has fwd'd a message from their WhatsApp group.

Though you'd think that perhaps if this does need to be announced to a mass of people without being leaked instantly you'd call them all in, ask for their phones to be handed in and then tell them the news etc..

I've seen the message. No chance is real. It says she died this morning, as if they would wait a whole day to announce it in this day and age...

Last time there was something like this with D notices issued etc. was because of a potential terrorist threat to the royal family IIRC so possibly something came up with recent events.

If this were true, I'm sure we'd be hearing reports at least of Prince William cutting short his visit to Kuwait. Since it all appears calm, we can likely assume nothing is wrong.

Why would he go through with the coronation if his only act would be to abdicate? If that is his desire then he'd just pass on the ~~baton~~ sceptre and William will be crowned.
