My Hermes - bad tracking or just slow?

Just go to Amazon Chat and chat about that order and your delayed returned because their offered service has mucked up. They can see you dropped the item off a reasonable amount of item ago and it is their issue and not yours they haven't got it back yet. I've had to do this a couple of times and everytime the refund has been completed by the time the chat has ended.

Oh and to add - I use Hermes a lot for sending small parcels - so far I've had 100% delivered on time.

:D

I'm still waiting on some Hermes tracking updating with a return to Amazon.

It was dropped off Sat 23rd, picked up Mon 25th then radio silence. Played the support chat roulette and got a useless person who just parroted the 5-7 working day line. Will try again when I have the time - probably the attitude Hermes has tbh.

Same experience with a hermes amazon return, dropped off on Wednesday last week and last updated 5am on Friday - "Your parcel is on its way back to the sender".

Previously when returning with royal mail they refunded as soon as it was dropped off.

I'm currently waiting for some car brake parts, a whopping £14 worth. It has now been a week and I am about to give up hope. Only other time I was waiting for something they sent and they lost it........Go figure.

Just checked again - still no further update to the tracking status nine days after it was dropped off and eight days since Hermes collected it. I hope Amazon make good on the promised refund because I'm starting to doubt that the item will ever make it back to them.

Sent in the region of 120 parcels with Hermes and with one exception which was reported stolen to a London address (and eventually got delivered) have had very good service for the price. Parcel shop I drop off with is very popular with Hermes lorry collecting from there Midday 7 days a week.

Hermes used to be ****. So did DPD.
Suddenly, DPD became awesome. Properly awesome. As in so awesome they're the benchmark for good service, now... I even installed their app to my phone.

Eventually Hermes upped their game, but their central services are still pretty ****. I've once had a Hermes driver phone me up and ask if it's OK for him to leave the parcel somewhere.
My latest Hermes delivery arrived and was placed in my safe space, which I've only ever told DPD and Royal Mail-Parcelfarce about, so I'm guessing he used to work for one of them. However the package had come from America and was sat at 'We're expecting your package' status for ages... then it went to 'we've got it' for a couple of hours, before going through several other steps (depot, warehouse, loading, with driver, out for delivery and finally delivered, with text and email alerts all pinging) all at once... and all after the package had been delivered.
So there's hope for Hermes, but they have a ways to go yet...

APC, however, can burn in hell alongside Yodel. ******* *****... If I wanted to drive 35 miles to collect something that you can't be arsed to put through the letterbox (seriously, it's a tiny poxy screwdriver attachment), I'd not have requested delivery in the first ******* place.

I avoid Hermes when possible. I had an item left in someone else's recycle bin a mile away that just happened to have the same house number and roughly the same postcode! Thanks to the honesty of the random guy he phoned my number on the side of the box (wouldn't happen now? GDPR?) and explained what happened, I collected it myself in the end. I complained to Hermes, pretty much no response.

Failed to deliver my Amazon package on time, some excuse about will not make it today on their own site tracking page then same next day so I finally got my parcel on the 3rd day, not sure why Amazon were using these tards on my Prime account.

Had a solid Hermes driver for years, old Jamaican chap, came around like clockwork and knew everyone so would put parcels small enough through the door, use the meter cupboard if too big or leave with a neighbour who he knew knows you (flats). Retired and now its a gang of random idiots who sometimes can't even find the flats muchless deliver, ones even delivered to me once then next time put a note that he couldn't find the flats and left a pic of the front door of the flats 5 metres away.

It seems everyone is using Hermes at the moment. Ordered from Tokyo Laundry, Argos, Aldi, Amazon and ebay and the same driver has been turning up each time. Aldi delivery took 2 weeks, but that might be down to Aldi being crap as their trust pilot reviews are awful.

Really late dinner then?

When I've used Hermes labels provided by the retailer before, the tracking won't update after the 'on it's way', because I'm not the sender I guess. If you know the postcode it's going to you might be able to enter that to get more information but mine were always outside the uk so it didn't accept it.

It's not a standard consignment like if you send yourself by a parcel shop, if you try to contact them by phone or email, they recognise it's a big retailer and direct all support to them. Probably Amazon's returns are rammed, give it 14 days and ask Amazon.
