Monitor stays black unless I boot pc multiple times

Hi all

My friend has an issue with his PC not showing when he presses the power button.... He has to boot multiple times before the PC actually shows on the screen... All the fans spin etc and pc is running just no display...

He's took it apart and cleaned it and took RAM out the PC but still no luck

Any advice welcome

I used to get this and had to disconnect the DP cable from the GPU and then reconnect, all while booting. It was fine each time, but would still happen sporadically.

Could it be a PSU issue? Or is it most probably GPU related

I never actually worked out what mine was. Could be a cable problem though. Does he have a spare he could test with?

I told him to boot with one stick of RAM and he says it's sorted the issue... So hopefully it is done for him.. Thanks for you input bud I will post back if the issue comes up again
