Can my CTEK charger be used to charge my car battery ?

EFB batteries are an enhanced version of standard wet-flooded technology. The primary benefits of EFB technology are improved charge acceptance and greater cyclic durability when operating in a reduced state of charge (typical of Stop Start applications). As an approximation, EFB batteries will provide 270,000 engine starts, compared to 30,000 starts from standard flooded product.

So I would imagine you just treat them in the same way as a traditional wet battery. They don't use technology similar to AGM, merely are a higher performing wet battery. Fairly sure the main difference between the cycles is that AGM batteries can take a higher voltage charge before off-gassing, so the AGM cycle will be faster.

Thanks

After Looking at the charging programs i can see what you mean by the AGM batteries take a higher voltage of 14.7v where normal car acid batteries take 14.4v

Yes, I charged my 2013 320d with an AGM battery for 6 months using an MXS 5.0 whilst I couldn't drive. Just select the AGM car mode and off you go.

Is it just a one-off charge or are you leaving the vehicle for an extended period? If leaving it, you can use the clip attachment and run it out at the bottom of the car, that's what I did so I could leave it unattended.
