144hz Monitor for 2080 Super & AMD 3700x

Hello,

Looking for some advice on a new monitor purchase for gaming.
I have an MSI 2080 Super Gaming X Trio, running with an AMD 3700x.

Games I play are:
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • NFS Heat
  • CoD
  • Gears of War
  • RDR2
  • GTA5
  • F1 2019
Not too bothered about 4k right now, but 144hz is where I'd like to be, with the least response time as possible.

Vesa mountable 100x100

Budget of approx £450, but happy to pay a bit more if a suggested monitor is highly recommended.

Any help & advice is super appreciated.

With that list of games I would go for 3440x1440 and don't worry about 144 Hz - for most people anything over 100 Hz is indistinguishable.

Thanks for the super quick response.
So maybe I'd be better off going for a 4k monitor?
Research suggests better resolution over refresh rate and response time if I'm not playing fast paced competitive games?
 
I have both a 4k monitor and a 1440UW monitor (both high refresh) and think that for the games you play - particularly the driving games - the 3440x1440 UW monitor would be the better choice.
