i usually like to have at least 2 months salary in savings, but that took a hit when i decided to take the family away to florida in June, yolo init!

Just save it up and then buy something I want, just got a new laptop on the black Friday sales for an xmas present to myself. Thanks @Gibbo for the deal. It then starts again on the next payday.

Invest for the long term in exchange trade funds and individual shares/trusts. You do NOT want to miss out on compounded growth. Old age comes to most of us and we are responsible for ensuring it is comfortable for ourselves.

Lol I payed off my mortgage this year, have no kids, work part time so why not. I am cheap to run, have my car to look after, pc's to upgrade and the odd beer. Life's good.
