So how do we sum up the 10's?

I would sum it up as the decade of social media and the distortion of what the vocal minority and silent majority is.

I think social media is then worst thing that has happened to western civilisation, and the rest of the world, in a while. Fake news, a constant barrage of information, virtue signalling, mental health issues with competing with others, trial by social media, 'gender' etc...

Yeh we should go back to geocities and irc or friends reunited. I find Facebook dull now maybe it's exciting if your at school age but it lost it's novelty a long time ago. The golden age of the internet was around 1998-2005 for me.

Disney taking a great big steaming woke poop on the Star Wars brand from which it will never recover. T’was the decade to get woke and go broke.

Also, women’s sports will shortly be dominated by biological men and any woman athlete that speaks this truth publicly is vilified.

I think Chaplin sums our situation up perfectly.

The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.
Greed has posioned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.
We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in.
Machinery that gives us abundance has left us in want.
Our knowledge has made us cynincal.
Our cleverness, hard and unkind.
We think too much, and feel too little.
More than machinery, we need humanity.
More that cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.
Without these qualities life will be violent, and all will be lost.
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together.
The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all.
Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.
To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair.
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress.
The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people.
And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.

Think of loads of people flying their rainbow flags and. Getting all confused what gender they are, rubbish music.
If the feel of a decade is drven by youth then what happened, just look a 69s 70s and 80s sometimes naf but at least we /they made statements, injected some life not just Afew clowns in peaky blinders outfits

Was 2016 the year that most of the famous people in the world seemed to get bored of living and promptly shuffled off this mortal coil?

Give it another decade they will be accepted and we will be pedophobics.
There's is actually a horrible movement of people that support it already they claim that if they consent then it's okay.... So you may be predicting correctly if things go the way they are going

It was a strange decade of deaths, maggy thatcher died, but so did david Bellamy.... #shrugs

You mean PIE with sicko Peter Tatchell and that dumb b1tch Patricia Hewit who wanted to lower age of consent to 10?

Everything is going to plan for the global elite and the great agenda. They had a great decade, smart tech has connected everyone to the network ready for compete tracking. The independence from the eu had been successfully manipulated into existence from no where. Gender had become a police able topic, bullying has become the social norm under the guise of equality. Humour is being drained for fear of offending everyone.
But on the good side, something, somewhere probably was alright

I am completely with you on all your points!
I wonder what the next decade will bring, maybe I should read 1984.

Illuminist is about right for me. You can add: people spouting "facts" without evidence, debates without any context, the earth is still flat and global warming is a lie. Spite also seems to be a bigger driving force for people, such as the **** stains that are "journalists" like Morgan and Hopkins.

Of course it was real, the hospital apologised to the mother.

The only ones saying it wasnt real were Twitter bots and a conservative activist.

Hospitals apologise for anything and everything now. We have taken duty of candor to the extreme. The reason I am highly suspicious is that the child had a non rebreath mask on..but wasn't in resus which just doesn't add up.

I think Chaplin sums our situation up perfectly.

What are you comparing things to and from when have we "lost our way"?

Whilst that quote has some valid points, it just seems to be another diatribe about how bad everything is , whilst thinking of some imagined time where everything was better.

Have we still got a hell of a lot to improve? Absolutely! However compared the past, things are generally getting better.
