Not so sure about fish oil but I've got this absolutely astonishing snake oil I was told to apply directly to my pee-pee with a rough cloth under direct sunlight. It doesn't seem to help my tooth ache but I sure do enjoy it, the neighbor's not so much.

At the end of the day fish oil is... fish oil.

I personally take 1000 mg capsules, the H&B ones are only 410 and are one of the most expensive.

The ones sold on my protein are good, also 1000 mg with 300 of that being Omega 3, the same as mine which can be bought from your local town, including places like Home Bargains.
