Im looking to get a new office PC next month and was after some advice on it please. I work in accountancy so there is little in the way of graphics needs or anything too taxing (get it?!) but the faster the better for the day to day office based tasks. The only thing Im really looking for is a triple monitor set up and the rest is negotiable..

I currently have an AMD A6-3620 with 16GB ram to give you an idea of what Im currently using but Im looking for a full new system as I can use my current one elsewhere.

Budget say £500-600. Dont need keyboard, mouse or monitors but everything else. Dont need a huge HDD as we have a NAS which stores all the client data.

Thanks.

EDIT: ask them to fit one of these to the spec below:

Thanks, although I think Id rather stick with 16BG of ram and Im not sure if that will allow me to use 3 monitors from the look of it?

I added the GT710 as that has 3 outputs (VGA, DVI & HDMI) Its almost the cheapest card i could find with 3 video outputs (Aebit different ones) If you want all of the outputs to be of the same type, (Displayport is going to be the most likely) then it will be more expensive. As for the RAM you can configure the upgrade to 16GB quite easily & its just over £20- extra to do so.

Best thing to do is phone OCUK sales up & they will spec what you want & give you a price.

Im with you now on the graphics card thanks, although I may also have missed it based on your post edit time. I currently have 2 monitors and they have HDMI and DVI inputs so I think I will probably need 2 graphics cards to add in a 3rd monitor (which they still sell) but not sure if the case/mobo will take 2 or not. I'll have a check and speak to OCUK if I get stuck.

Revisiting this thread again with a slight update as the business has decided to start doing some video marketing (linkedin, twitter, websites etc) so the demands of the PC have changed slightly. Would a Ryzen 7 2700x be a good starting point due to its 8 cores? It wont be serious video editing work but adding a logo in perhaps and chopping a few bits together etc.

Edit - not looked at specific software yet so any recomendations welcome that will suit the spec.

As a further follow up does the below spec look ok for general office work and light video editing? The CPU comes with a AMD Wraith Prism cooler which I assume would be sufficient for my needs?

Edit - with graphics cards this time...

i dont know if you need 32gb for basic video editing. 16gb should be fine, changed PSU and Mobo. Video card for 3 screens i would get a second hand quadro P400 but i dont know how that will perform on video editing

Thanks for the changes, all seem good. Been having a quick read up and the Quadro P400 seems to cope well for video editing but the for light video editing the majority seem to suggest that a GT GPU should be sufficient for basic video editing. Guess there is no harm in spending £36 on a GT 710 and upgrading later if its a bottle neck.
