I've started buying parts for my new HEDT. I'm aiming air-cooled.

The Air case looks nicely built, with even the plastic grill parts well made. The case came with 3 fans, but I'll discard them as I want to get Noctua fans.

Aiming for inflow from the bottom to feed the graphics card (120mm x3)/ Maybe get 2x 120mm just to cover the graphics card so as not to interfere with the front inflow.

Inflow from the front (120mm x3 or 140mm x2) to pass over the mobo & feed the CPU fan. Maybe get 2x 140mm to not interfere with the graphics card flow.

Outflow at the top (120mm x 3 or 140mm x2). Maybe 2x 140mm.

Outflow at the back (80mm x 2 or 90mm x1). Maybe 2x 80mm.

Nothing for the side exhaust as it's designed more for a radiator.

Controlled from the mobo, is that too many fans?

Fan question, I get 4 pin fans. Is that correct?
Looking at the A12x25 for case fans, which voltage do I need to get?

2 or 3 of each header, or get a PWM Fan Hub..

PWM Fans are 4 pin, all PC fans are 12 volts as far as im aware

Thank you. I think that the mobo has a fan header board, called Fan extension card II.

Whats the model of the motherboard, a fan extension card is an add on card and not part of the main board. although this works in your favour as you will take one cable from the extension board to the main board, and you can use as many headers on the extension card as you want. exentsion card may need to be powered by a molex or sata connector

The motherboard is an Asus Prime X299 Edition 30. I think there's a fan card with it.

yes there is, you have laods of fan connectors, 8 on the actual motherboard (1 for CPU) and looks like another 8 on the card, which plugs into the dedicated Node slot.. so i think your covered! so of the fans may be far from the node like the 80mm so you may have to plug those in the board depending on distances. dont forgot to post some pics up
