Just built pc blue screening. HELP

It's not safe to flash BIOS right now, and if he has to, then best to remove the CPU and RAM and drives and GPU, and use BIOS Flashback to eliminate any component fault. Just CPU power cable and 24-pin cable plugged into motherboard, nothing else.
Possibly
Though it sat in the bios 20 minutes no problem
So assumed a bios flash would be safe
Does the latest bios happen to say what it fixes?
Unfortunately they aren't always specific about what it fixes though

Yeah I've got a usb I could use if needed.

So I've disabled XMP and so far the pc hasn't locked up or blue screened and its actually managed to download the windows 10 update and its installing it now. Will see how it goes and let you guys know thank you all for the help.

I cant see how XMP would cause it to freeze up isn't it only a little overclock?

It's not quite the same to sit in the BIOS versus flashing. Latter more delicate. Now that disabling XMP seems to have improved things (I'd keep check on things for a day or two) then it should be safe to flash BIOS the normal method which might bring memory compatibility improvements.

Windows is just installing all the little updates now so will see how it goes for a couple of days.

I'm trying find out how to post pictures :p

If it stays stable
A bios update might be aimed at making it more stable for certain memory modules
Yes it's sort of an overclock usually xmp is fine
But key word there is usually
If get it stable and bios updated and
It's all ok
Some of the guys in here are way better at helping you manually set ram timings than I am
They will soon help you out

If using imgur
Select the bottom option on right hand side
That way they show directly not just a link
Other image hosts look for BB option

Tbh its almost certainly xmp causing the issue. Manually setting memory timings and voltages is probably a better option.

the compatibility list/qvl
is only a guideline though
if your rams not on it then
doesnt matter as they cant test every ram
if its stayed stable some one with bit of knowledge of manually setting ram is what you need
other than making sure gear down is on in bios
and that xmp was setting correct voltage
manual ram timings not my thing
