Hi all,

This is a little bit reduced at the moment. The price is more appealing now and the 3 year warranty entices me.

Anyone have any experience with this card?

Alex.

Not that one specifically, but I have a 2080 and bang for buck is very good. I hardly hear it and it runs mid 60's while gaming. It has a better cooler than I thought it'd have.

I would not be happy with a 2080 on 4k
Mine barely does 40 to 50fps on my 4k oled.

No news on the 3080? Probably worth a month or 2 wait.

I have this card and bought it the week before black friday, it's been a great card for me and I am really happy with it.

I use it on a 1440 144hz monitor and also use it for VR when I play flight sims.

If I were buying a 2000 series right now, I would choose EVGA to take advantage of the step up just in case there's a new release in the next 3 months.

I would buy the next gen will be priced the same imo for the same performance

There is that possibility however I don't believe that will be the case market conditions will not imho support that. Anything above a 2070S is imho suffering from a 30%+ price inflation already mostly driven by lack of competition and alternatives.

I think this close to another release I would definitely wait until the new cards come out. At very least it will force the prices of the existing stock even lower. You really do need a powerful card to drive a 4K screen and I think you aren't going to be very happy with a 2080 unless you only play older games. Of course we could see NVIDIA follow on with their insane pricing policy but if they do then you haven't really lost much anyway. At least the 3080 will be able to drive 4K. Or at least should be able to.
