It's a waste of time really the DemocRats rigged the 2016 primaries against Bernie Sanders so that their chosen corporate candidate Hilary would win the nomination, they're about as Democratic as North Korea.

What? Are you on drugs? Those challengers are like The Monster Raving Loony Party challenging Boris. Technically he's being challenged but it is no way a serious challenge. Why is he even being challenged? He's the incumbent, the GOP should be 100% behind him if he is the best POTUS since Lincoln which is what he claims.

No that wasn't a threat.
That was saying we wouldn't get preferential treatment over countries who had been working on deals for years but get treated the same as them, in that we'd have to wait for a deal to be sorted out but we wouldn't jump the queue as it were.
That's just common sense given how long it typically takes to negotiate trade deals and how complex they tend to be.

I think Obama liked the UK, Trump I suspect just likes the idea of a weak UK who will be more willing to do what he wants.
I'd personally rather rely on a president like Obama even if he didn't like us much, knowing he'd abide by treaties and obligations than someone like Trump who'll drop any obligations the moment he sees a profit in doing so and whose "friendship" is pretty much entirely reliant on how much he thinks he'll get out of it today.
