Swiss encryption company used to spy on governments for over 50 years

The program was called project Rubicon and involved the CIA,NSA and the German BND,who actually owned the company called Crypto AG.

It affected 100 countries apparently:

The fact that it wasn't detected for so long,probably makes it one of the most successful intelligence operations in the last 100 years.

Alternatively, the fact that it has now been detected may make it one of the less successful operations.

The CIA shut the company down in 2018 and the Germans left in the 1990s,so for the most part they had operated for a longtime with many countries being none the wiser.

It was a thing, wasn't it, before America was discovered? Beethoven, if I recall correctly, was spied upon. Sun Tzu was all for a China spy network yonks ago (according to his Guttenberg Project download ebook).

There was also some writing / book duplicate floating about (mebbe 25+) years ago online claiming the original Moses was pharaohs chief of intelligence. Prolly a CT.
