I've spent close to an hour to get 3440 x 1440 outputted at 60hz via the onboard GPU on a 9700k on my iiyama 34 inch ultra wide.
Garbage stuck at 30 hz.
I get it displayed on DP but not HDMI.
Ive tried the same HDMI 2.0 input on monitor with my 1080ti using the same cable and all is fine.
Card even displays at 85hz!
Any advice would ge helpful
Thanks

The z390 black ops motherboard has DP and hdmi.
Had the same issue with onboard 7700k graphics and my LG OLED only giving me a 30 hz 4k display yet 1080ti gave the full 60hz!
Has to be poor drivers on Intel's part

Most intel boards have HDMI 1.4 ports, despite the cpu's IGP being able to use HDMI 2.0 for 4k60.

Manual for Z390 MAXIMUS XI Hero: "Supports HDMI 1.4b with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 30 Hz"

Bummer. I read that boards with HDMI 2.0 use internal conversion to DP. Gigabyte boards list it as: MCDP2800.

Thank you all for this important piece of info!
It baffles me why motherboard vendors dont provide a hdmi 2.0 output when the igpu is capable.

From what I can gather, it is capable of the output, cos it can do it through DP, but it doesn't actually support HDMI 2.0; the IGP hasn't changed much since Skylake apart from a few tweaks.
