Windows 7 work laptop no open or save dialogue boxes

Hi all.

I know this is probably impossible to for anyone to diagnose but my work laptop will not let me use open or save dialogue boxes when I am not connected to the organisation's VPN. It doesn't seem to matter which programme I am using but clicking open or save does nothing. As soon as I connect to the VPN I can use everything as normal. Trouble is, to access our databases I can't be connected to the VPN...

Is there anything obvious for me to look at?

I do not have elevated privileges so I can't do anything like open a command line etc.

Does your work place enforce group policies? that can lock down all manner of things and you won't necessarily be able to "officially" fix it without getting IT involved.

Probably, but no one else in my team has this issue!

Speak to your IT Support. We'd just be guessing without knowing the group policies they apply.

yeah I’ll be raising a call with the help desk first thing Monday morning. It’s probably something to do with my profile.

Speak to your IT support at work. Nobody here has access to your works network or policies and procedures that they put in place.
