monitor arm for desl close to wall?

hi,

i used to have a vesa mount drilled into the wall but that isn't going to work any more as i've moved and don't want to drill into the wall.
So i'm look for an arm that for a desk thats right up against the wall and doesn't extend very far out.
A clamp also wont work so it would need to go through a drilled hole.

any ideas?
a lot of the ones i see have a clamp or a very long arm that is just going to push the monitor too far forward.

Given your situation, isn't going back to a monitor stand the most suitable method? Your criteria make a monitor arm not at all well suited!

its an ok stand but it wobbles a bit and doesn't rotate/tilt as much as i want it to.
i can put up with it but was just wondering if there is a better option.

Perhaps an aftermarket monitor stand then rather than monitor arm? One that suits your needs and is sturdier than your current.

I had a similar situation; ThingyClub had one that did the job for a very heavy 27" Dell.

that might be a good shout - i could drill some holes and screw it to the desk also.
